Taiko no Tatsujin: V Version is a Rhythm game published by Bandai Namco released on July 9, 2015 for the PlayStation Vita.
Credits to TEAM FULLCOMBO! for the English Patch.
This is a full MENU patch so far and story is being worked on.
Same gameplay as previous Taiko games for the most part except a new modifier called Tokkun was added, which restarts the whole song if you missed a single note.
Great for perfectionists, I guess, since they won’t have to bring up the menu everytime.
Also like previous Taiko games, there’s a story mode in this game too called Donder Quest Mode.
Gameplay in this mode is you have Don battling enemies like an RPG and you play notes to deplete the enemy’s HP. Missing a note depletes your own HP so be careful.
You gain EXP upon defeating the enemy and gain stats on level up.
There are a few cameos from other video games in the form of special attacks like Ys, God Eater, Ridge Racer, Freedom Wars, Legend of Heroes, Tekken, and many other ones.
